Former U.S. Senator Timothy Wirth, President of the United Nations Foundation and The Better World Fund, tells Clean Skies News that the natural gas industry must act soon or it will miss an opportunity to have its interests represented in pending climate legislation.
(From his bio) Tim Wirth served the state of Colorado in the House and Senate for more than 20 years. In 1988 he organized the historic Hansen hearings on climate change. Along with the late Senator John Heinz (R-PA), Wirth authored “Project 88”, outlining the groundbreaking “Cap and Trade” idea which became law in the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.
