About this video
The Senate subcommittee on water and wildlife held a hearing on the controversial practice of mountaintop mining. Hundreds of miners from West Virginia and environmentalists on both sides of the issue gathered for the hearing. Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland is one opponent of the practice because of what he calls health risks in the lack of quality of water in the Appalachia where the technique is widely used.

I've heard about a good
I've heard about a good result of the mountaintop removal hearing. The people who fight for this campaign won the suit that's why the problem with it has already been resolved. It's great to know that the authorities acted on it as soon as they can.Adam Gardner
