I like how he is so sure that the research yet to be done is going to prove man made global warming. Well, we all can be sure that his will for sure.

Dr. Mann your as wrong as you could be. Montfords "The Hockey Stick Illusion" destroyed any remaining creditability that AGW promoters ever had. AGW science is heavily politicized, agenda driven, ideologically motivated. Dr. Pielke is right in his criticisms of science in the service of political goals. McKintyre is absolutely right in his critique of the IPCC, and the entire "Hockey Stick Gang".

Good grief, I think the only lazy and shameless accusation missing there Mr. Mann was comparing sceptics to holocaust deniers.

By the way, when are you going to write a rebuttal to Andrew Montford's "The Hockey Stick Illusion"? Anyone who has read it would find it impossible to ever trust you.

This news story is extremely slanted! The "exoneration" only dealt with whether it could be proved that Dr. Mann acted fraudulously, his science was NEVER authenticated. In fact after publication, his work was reviewed as inaccurate, there were temperature stations that disagreed with his "proxy" tree ring predicters. So he estimated 1,000 years of temperatures and the thirty years where real temperature readings could verify or deny his work showed it all wrong. Once the information he refused to disclose was disclosed, it was shown that he used 12 trees that disagreed with hundreds he had data points on to create the immflamatory, inaccurate chart as propoganda for Al Gore's film. News servises should check their facts before interviewing shysters like this guy.

Sorry Mr. Mann - if record setting cold temps aren't proof of cooling, then neither are record setting hot temps proof of warming. The current heat wave means only one thing: it's summer.
