Other innovative sources of energy being actively researched and developed include biomass, hydroelectric, geothermal, tidal & wave, and hydrogen. All have potential to become significant sources of low or net-zero emission electricity. The sources include power generation from the movement of water in rivers and oceans, the earth’s inner heat, the burning of organic matter, and the use of hydrogen.
